Break Out of the Box with BreakoutEDU: A platform for immersive learning games exemplifying high- and low-tech integration.
Experience the competitive fun of communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

BreakoutEDU was inspired by "escape rooms" around the world where you pay to get "locked in" a room with friends and try to escape by solving puzzles and unlocking codes.

We will have a pre-created learning adventure with a "locked kit" and a website to access clues.

Coding as a Central Component of a Mathematics Curriculum
Coding provides an authentic, rich context through which mathematics concepts are made approachable, engaging, and challenging for all students in mathematics classes. Participants will see how The Putney School weaves coding through its “traditional” high school mathematics curriculum. Using the Processing language, participants will work through rich problems supporting canonical topics in algebra, geometry, and precalculus. The session is appropriate for all high school mathematics teachers.
