Each year our 5th grade students, during Library class, do a detailed study of many of our National Parks. They research, perform skits, dress up, and take the audience on a virtual visit to their park.
This year, using the iPad app, Green Screen by Do Ink (and an inexpensive Green Screen purchased from Amazon) our students took their audience on a virtual tour of their park. They dressed as Rangers and included video and images from their park for a “Green Screen” virtual tour of the park. The movies were then combined with other video clips, audio, and images using iMovie on the iPad and turned into a finished project.
Join us for the “how’s and why’s” of this project plus some suggestions for the many uses of Green Screen technology in elementary classrooms. We will share lots of examples.
